Julia P Duffy

Julia Duffy is a lawyer with over twenty years experience in government law, policy and senior management. From 2012 to 2013 she led and managed the Queensland Child Commission Protection of Inquiry for the Commissioner, and from 2016 to 2018 was Queensland's Deputy Public Guardian and Acting Public Guardian. She is currently a part time member of Queensland's Mental Health Review Tribunal, and is a member of the Psychology Board of Queensland and the Osteopathy Board of Australia. She is a pro bono Director of a not-for-profit organisation providing sexual and reproductive health services. Julia has been awarded a Master of Law (1st Class) from the University of Cambridge where she took papers in Human Rights Law and Public Law and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Women's Studies from the City University of New York Graduate School and University Centre. Centre. She is currently enrolled full time in a PhD in Law at the Queensland University of Technology.
